Jeffrey Demunn Actually Quit "The Walking Dead"

According to MovieHole, Jeffrey Demunn, who played Dale on the series, quit the series. This would explain why Dale died when he did rather than much, much later in the story as with the comics. His exit was the result of Kirman wanting to rework the story but more of him having to do so instead.

  2. From what I know that isn't entirely true. The series was developed by Frank Darabont, who had a hand in getting many of the actors such as Jeffrey DeMunn, Laurie Holden, and others to be in the show. DeMunn had starred in almost everything else Darabont had created. Darabont was fired from the show and I think that's the main reason DeMunn quit, because of the strong friendship between them.

    1. You're correct. DeMunn left due to how Darabont was treated by AMC after the first season. Which makes me wonder what may happen now that Glen Mazzara has stepped down under similar circumstances.
