Variety brings us word on this film:
After his long-awaited debut "Call Girl," which won a prize at Toronto this year, Swedish helmer Mikael Marcimain is speeding up his career. Marcimain will adapt Swedish suspense bestseller "Stallo" by Stefan Spjut.
The sophomore novel already sold to 15 countries before its local release last week from Albert Bonniers, Sweden's biggest publishing house.
"Stallo," which has been compared with "Let the Right One In," depicts a grey everyday Sweden with supernatural elements. Instead of vampires, fellow countryman Marcimain will have to deal with "stallos," human-like creatures who like to eat people.
