The Zombie Autopsies (Movie) - George Romera Has Finished The Script

The Daily Dead brings us the following:
Back in 2011, we reported that George A. Romero had optioned the film rights to Steven C. Schlozman’s The Zombie Autopsies. There hasn’t been too much news on the project lately, but I was recently told that the script has been completed.
I had the opportunity to meet up with George A. Romero this past weekend in Chicago and we talked about a number of topics, including his upcoming projects. When asked about The Zombie Autopsies, he revealed that the script is finished, approved by Steven C. Schlozman, and is being sent around to studios:
“Actually, the day before I left to come here, I finished the script and talked to Schloz about it. He approved it, so we sent it to my agents and they sent it around. You never know what’s going to happen, but it’s out in circulation and I hope it works out.”
Later on during our talk, he mentioned that it’s becoming more difficult to get funding for his “Dead” projects due to interest in other zombie projects and fast-moving zombies:
“I hope [The Zombie Autopsies is my next project]. I never know what’s going to be next, because the one that’s going to be next is the one that finds the money first. I used to be the only guy in this playground, but now there’s too damn many. It’s very hard now, particularly with World War Z [the movie].”
