Shooting will start Aug. 13 in the Dominican Republic, where Indomina has some of its operations. It also plans to shoot "Cabin Fever: Outbreak" in the country.
Original "Cabin Fever" producer Evan Astrowsky and his Hypotenuse Pictures is producing "Patient Zero" with Indomina. Jake Wade Wall ("The Hitcher," "When a Stranger Calls") wrote the "Patient Zero" screenplay.
Story centers on a bachelor party cruise in the Caribbean that unexpectedly runs ashore on a medical research island, where a deadly virus is unleashed.
The film will star Sean Astin, Brian Eato and Ben Hollingston, and Kaare Andrews is scheduled to direct.
