This month McPierce, Tawni and Mike Zombie talk (at least for a couple of minutes) about the film "Fido" from 2006. They also talk about probably a million other things that have nothing to do with the film, including Panda Express, movie quotes, bad jokes and pendulous truck nuts.

Contracted (2013) - New Trailer

Contracted tells the cautionary tale of Samantha (Townsend), a twenty‐something party girl with little discipline and even less direction. After experiencing a lapse in her relationship with her lover (Stegeman), she's forced to move back in with her overbearing mother (Williams). Samantha's only means to escape seems to come in the form of a flower competition that she's determined to win. Things take a turn for the worse when Samantha spends the night with mysterious man (Barrett), leaving her hung‐over and guilt‐ridden. However, something else is wrong with Samantha. Something is infecting her. Unsure of the disease or the man who gave it to her, she must attempt to hide it from her loved ones. Now, Samantha realizes she is not just the victim of an STD, but rather the host of something much more catastrophic. Prepare to witness a zombie film like you've never even imagined.

We Are What We Are (2013) - Tradition

The film hits theaters on 27 September in select theaters.
A seemingly wholesome and benevolent family, the Parkers have always kept to themselves, and for good reason. Behind closed doors, patriarch Frank (Bill Sage) rules the roost with a rigorous fervor, determined to keep his ancestral customs intact at any cost. As a torrential rainstorm moves into the area, tragedy strikes and his daughters, Iris (Ambyr Childers) and Rose (Julia Garner), are forced to assume responsibilities that extend beyond those of a typical family. The most important task the girls face is putting meat on the table— but not the kind that can be found at the local supermarket. As the unrelenting downpour continues to flood their small town, local authorities begin to uncover clues that bring them closer to the secret that the Parkers have held closely for so many years.
The film also stars Michael Parks, Kelly McGillis, Nick Damici, Wyatt Russell, and newcomer Jack Gore.

World War Z (2013) - Max Brooks WANTED To Hate It

USA Today brings us the following:
World War Z author Max Brooks was genuinely surprised that he liked the blockbuster film adaptation of his 2006 novel. The last we heard from him, he wasn't too impressed with the trailer.
"I was expecting to hate, it and I wanted to hate it because it was so different from my book, and yet the fact that it was so different from my book made it easier to watch because I didn't watch my characters and my story get mangled," Brooks says. "So I was just watching somebody else's zombie movie, which was fun and intense."
Many writers dread adaptations despite the attention and additional earnings that may come. "They watch their characters do things they would never do and say things they would never say," Brooks says. "It's infuriating. I never had a 'Gerry Lane-wouldn't-say-that moment because I didn't invent Gerry Lane (the film's main character played by Brad Pitt). In fact, the only character they kept from my book, Jurgen Warmbrunn, the Israeli intelligence analyst, he was actually pretty spot on."
