Until The Day Breaks (Kickstarter) - Former Cinema Employees Make The Leap To The Silver Screen

British filmmaking collective Project Trident, who rocked the web with their hilarious short film Gasp, among many others, is now embarking on an ambitious sci-fi comedy feature. Inspired by classic films such as The Day the Earth Stood Still and Withnail & I, director Carl Peck will bring his trademark irreverent wit to the project, a creative mash-up of sci-fi and buddy tropes through the ages. Braveheart star David Gant is taking the leap into extreme Indie filmmaking as the star of the film, claiming “It’s the most exciting script I’ve read for a time.” Sticking to their Do-It-Yourself roots, the group is raising their financing solely through Kickstarter. To support their campaign which ends on the31st of March, go to http://www.untilthedaybreaksmovie.com

The Story

In the wake of a zombie apocalypse Reverend Ivan Passworthy is alone in the world, his dog Wacko and an imaginary old lady named Maureen his only companions. In the 12 years since the end of civilisation Ivan has carved out an isolated existence within a few acres of heavily fortified English countryside, waiting patiently for survivors to return.

When Maureen’s constant nattering becomes too much to bear, Ivan’s prayers for salvation are answered by the crash landing of a bizarre extraterrestrial named Lee. The unlikely pair quickly find common ground through their own personal losses, but can they send Lee home before they are consumed by the undead evil just beyond the fence?

Mary Doe (Movie) - Help Fund This Project!

"This is award-winning special make-up effects artist Nick Nicolaou's path towards his eagerly awaited first feature."

Your support will give us the chance to create this kick@%# Promo Trailer and develop the project the way we envisioned.

It will boast a return to ‘in-camera’ traditional ‘old school’ make-up and model effects, something that we truly love and feel will thrill and engage fans, adding to the artistic direction we have taken with developing the project. All the money that we raise from the Kickstarter Campaign will be up on the screen: great actors, art department costs needed to build key sets, prop hire, equipment hire, costuming, visual effects and post production costs, location fees etc. We aim to put in as much production value and blood, sweat and tears into making this Promo Trailer, as we have done so far with the rest of the Mary Doe production.

We've already created an array of special make-up effects, animatronic creatures, props and miniatures for the elaborate FX sequences contained within the movie. Vast portfolios of stunning production art, storyboards and designs, depicting the world of Mary Doe, have also been completed. These foundations will be utilized in the making of the Promo Trailer and elevate it to another level. The backing of our studio Make-up Effects Group will also give us access to some of the best artists and technicians working today.

“I also lend my voice to endorsing and celebrating in the film you are shortly to make. The script, planning and design you have already done is far superior than a lot of projects that we read and I have no doubt that you are on the road to making a truly wonderful piece of cinema.”

Within The Woods Of Undead County (Kickstarter)

For more on the project, and to contribute, click here.
Hello, my name is Joshua Solarczyk and this is the story of the crew and cast of Within the Woods of Undead County. We are a passionate group of Indie Film Makers trying to do the best we can, with what we have, as professional as possible. No one on the set is being paid. We are all here because we love what we do.
I am making this Kickstarter page is to ask for your help. We started Within the Woods of Undead County originally as a short film to educate ourselves and have fun in the process. After spreading the word of this movie, it became a big sensation, bigger than we ever imagined. We began to have fans. Our fan base has and still is climbing to a huge level in the thousands. We thought we could make it on our own, but unfortunately it has not come to that. When you are trying to make a name for yourself in the movie business while producing a professional movie, it is hard to do alone. We worked hard all day at our jobs just to spend it all on equipment; nevertheless we fell short of our goals raising money for the budget independently. To me, and all the others that have worked so hard, we cannot let this project go unfinished; we cannot let down our fans.

Rented...To The Dead (Kickstarter)

For more information you can visit the Kickstarter campaign here.
A zomedy with guts!
NEW VIDEO FEATURING CREATORS PHIL BUCKENHAM AND SIMON COPE COMING JULY 5th!
RENTED... to the DEAD, is a comedy, horror comic in the same vein as the Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland movies.
Set in the UK, its a story about loss, love, loneliness, sarcasm, horror and chronic boredom.
Our heroes are a group of twenty something employees of "RENT-IT" an international chain of rental movie stores, who are on the brink of facing bankruptcy. Based in the town of Maidstone in Kent (UK), our story shows how our survivors endure life against a backdrop of economic fears and social unrest, highlighting subjects such as UK high street/retail decline, 2011's London Riots and overhyped media paranoia.
The story begins with a news report about out of control rioting in the UKs capitol. As the police lose control and become overrun, people are starting to change, but is that the result of a strange madness, something more sinister... or just zombies!
